The heartburn is normal. Tums always worked for me when I was pregnant. Towards the end of my pregnancy I was so swollen I looked like a balloon. You need to go see your doctor about that. You may have a condition known as pre-eclampsia. This can be life threatening to you and your baby. So GO SEE A DOCTOR A.S.A.P.!!!!

I understand. I am due sunday and I have the same problem. All you can do is elevate your feet and drink lots of water. Lay off soda and caffiene and try to stay cool. Go out to target and buy a $20 foot bath and fill it with cold water. It can help alot. Heartburn can go away by eatting lots of bread and avoiding spicy food (even though I adore hot food). Rolaids are my best friends and so is peppermint. Drink some peppermint tea if you can get some and also go out and buy some cheap acid relievers. No need to buy namebrand like I did. Goo luck and I hope this helps.

I've felt your pain. 3 weeks before my son was due, I began to swell. I had to not only elevate my feet, but I couldn't sit straight in a chair. Increasing my water intake helped some. I've read on baby websites, that baths help, but since it is summertime, try spending some time in a pool. If you don't have one nearby, buy a kiddie pool. The water helps to make you more buoyant and take pressure off your joints. It also will help to balance the pressure of the water building up inside of you and the water in the pool.
When you sleep at night, be sure to elevate your feet above your head, by using pillows or even the head board. I slept upside down in my bed, just so I could have my feet resting on the headboard, and in the morning me legs felt normal again. I was also blessed enough to have a mom who works as a nurse. She lent me a wheelchair to use to get around the house while keeping my feet elevated as much as possible.
For your hands, get a nice lotion and ask someone to massage your hands everyday. This will help to releive the pressure, and pamper you at the same time.
For the heartburn, try ginger ale or ginger beer. Crackers didn't help me, but when I didn't have ginger root to chew on, I drank ginger ale or ginger beer. It helped tremendously. It should also help to combat any nausea.
This will be the most uncomfortable time because your little one is preparing to make his/her grand entrance to the world. By the time the little one is here, this discomfort will be a long distant after thought.

Honey you got 7 more days its gonna be there no matter what you can try Rolaids and stuff like that but most likely its gonna bee there as far as your swelling umm you might be able to get some water pills from your doctor after you have the baby. Then your swelling and every thing will most likely go back to normal after that just try to stay off your feet. Don't drink soft drinks or eat ne thing salty. That's about all I can think of right now

Some swelling is normal but too much is a bad sign. If you notice sudden or significant swelling (especially in the face and legs) contact your physician right away. For normal swelling, make sure you are drinking plenty of water to help flush out your system and always elevate your feet when you sit down.
My heartburn remedy is those soft chews from rolaids. Work like a charm for me.

It could be simple water retention or you could have a elevation in your blood pressure or be starting toxcemia. It sounds like you should really go to the dr these could be serious signs of something going wrong. If your truly scared and worried you should really be on you way to the dr office like I said it could be water but could be something more. My first perg I had this problem and it was due to high bolld pressure and I was made to lie down up to 4 hours a day and watched cause it can be dangerous for you and the baby. If it is toxcemia your body has a toxin in it that it is reacting to and swelling up please please go to the dr right now get off here and just go and bit^* until they do some test or at least and ultra sound.

What ever you eat isn't the cause of your heartburn or your swollen limbs, but for your swollen feet, keep elevated and stay that way with a pillow, and for your hands just pump like if you were pumping the little bulb to take blood pressure. Just pump your hands once in a while.
As for the heartburn, go to the store and buy yourself a cantolope or a honeydew. A delicious idea to get rid of heartburn. Believe me, it works. So everytime you get heartburn, just eat one on those and your heartburn is gone for the day.
Hope this helped.

oh honey!! you are almost there. the best remedy for reataining water is walking, eating watermelon and drinking lots of water. STAY AWAY FROM ANYTHING CONTAINING SALT! lettuce is also a natural water flusher as well. go get a manicure and pedicure. the massage alone helps circulate the blood flow and loosens up your sore limbs. if you have a pool available to you, definitely soaking in a cold pool will make you feel better. try to stay cool. I noticed heat only makes swelling worse. DO NOT TAKE A COLD BATH UNATTENDED. it is next to impossible trying to get yourself out. Also, call your nurse. they always have extra suggestions.

The swelling is normal. Try eliminating all salt from your diet and drink lots of water. As for the heartburn, I had that as well. The only thing that ever gave me any relief was Pepcid ac. I know they say not to take anything but I had to and had no adverse effects from it, just heartburn relief.
