I've had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with pro (or former pro in some cases) tennis players Martina Hingis (my favorite and when she was on top in 1997), Lindsay Davenport, Anke Huber and Amanda Coetzer, as well as my all-time favorite guitarist, the great Pete Townshend of The (incomparable) Who, as well as a host of famous military personalities no doubt fdamiliar to most people over the years (I retired in 1992 from the U.S. Army). I also had an appointment scheduled with Tiger Woods, but had to cancel due to a personal emergency, something I still regret today. And as a boy, the mother of my very best friend was Velma Barfield (then Burke), the first woman executed in the U.S. (1984, I believe) since 1962. What made that so memorable for me was that she killed people by poisoning their food, and she prepared many a good meal for me. I guess she liked me.

Have met Michael Jordan-when he played for the Birmingham Barons, he would go to the club I hung out in (he & Barkley).
I met Jimmy Buffett in an elevator at the hotel he was staying in when he played here. I spent the afternoon with Lonestar. They were doing a nightclub tour when they first got their name out and they played in the club I worked in.
I met John Berendt (author of "Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil") while he was on a book tour and got to spend a few hours with him.
Met Patti LaBelle on a book tour.
Met Brian Wilson (Beach Boys) at a concert. Not at all impressed.
I am sure there have been others, but these were the ones that came to mind first. The best were John Berendt and Lonestar.

Yes I have. My staff and myself, escorted Halle Berry, Arnold Schwarzeneggar, Maria Schriver on the ceremony prior to the '99-2000 Special Olympics induction. In my work, I've met many dignitaries from the world over. I have met and even hung out with quite a few rock stars. And when I worked corrections I knew of your Velma Barfield. She left this world peacefully.

I haven't but the uncle of an ex used to go drinking with Liza Minnelli in NYC. They would call in the middle of the night drunk. He also taught Luke and Owen Wilson and some of the Reynolds children. I mean like Reynolds wrap. When he died I helped clean his apartment and the gifts he had gotten from people were amazing.

Bret Hart, Miss Elizabeth and Bobby Henan. All at Newbury Comics in Burlington, Massachusetts. What a dream come true. Miss Elizabeth is dead now, but she more beautiful in person than on TV. Henan was witty as usual. Bret was gorgeous.

I met Kyle Petty once at a work function and also had the dubious honor of cooking lunch for Chuck Woolery. There are many celebrities here where I live who vacation because nobody bothers them. My wife actually met the Harlem Globetrotters here also.

I ve known the cassidy family for about 5 years. (david, sue, beau and Katie cassidy) I dont know katies real mom though. I met Jeff something or other from the Lawnmower man. I met the little brother from freaky friday, not lindsay lohan but the little bro. and a few others from the david cassidy celeb golf tournament in las vegas. (dont remember all the names.)

My husband and I have met "Big" John Macarthy..he is a UFC ref. we gave him and his wife a tour of our business called "Riverside Reptile Ranch" in Stanton, MO and my mom met Nelly at the casino Queen in St.Louis he was having his birthday party there. I wish I could meet Matt Huges and Chuck Liddell and Forrest Griffin ( UFC fighters) we watch UFC all the time! It is more important in our house then football sundays!..lol
