I have PCOS, and have had, and am currently having trouble conceiving. Women with PCOS do not regularly ovulate, so she will need help in producing ovulation. I tried Provera and Clomid 3 years ago, and got pregnant with my daughter the second month. I'm trying for another baby, and it's already the fourth month with no success. If Clomid doesn't work after 6 cycles, usually they will try stronger fertility drugs. Also, I have heard that since PCOS causes insulin resistance, women that take the diabetic drug Glucophage in combo with the Clomid have better chances and more success. I'm going to try that next month. Good luck to her! And let her know that there are other people going through the same thing, and I know it's not easy. It does not feel good to feel "broken". I feel for her.

PCOS does NOT have a cure but can be treated. Has she had any test to find out if her tubes may be clogged? Stress makes medical conditions worse. They need to focus their minds on something other then concieving a child. Has she tried an ovulation test? You can get a 7 day test at Wal-mart for like $13.
Cysts that rupture onthe ovaries can poision eggs and cause infertility. Does she have another cyst she does not know about? You said that the tests all came back normal, have they gotten a second or even third opnion?

i changed into at present clinically determined with pcos. and function been on metformin for 4 months. yet only a million "secure" month. we've been attempting to conceive for a year. I surely have a tilted uterus, and my Dr stated there must be no challenge. yet I surely might want to take the meds each day* as directed. which i wasn't. so do not bypass an afternoon. take it a similar time or situations each day. it is going to ensue even as its time to ensue. a pal of mine had a similar syndrome and changed into pregnant 4 situations. one b4 and three after the diagnosis. All im preserving is keep attempting. no plausible predict the destiny. and each man or woman is diverse. so someones 3 months can take you 2 years. its difficult yet pray & keep attempting and it is going to ensue. good success:)

Sometimes the stress of trying to conceive is detrimental to actual conception. As hard as it is, they should try to focus their energies on other things and when they both relax a bit it may happen then. If it still doesn't and they feel the need they should contact a fertility specialist about other options like artificial insemination or IVF.
