you either get a PHD, Bachelors Degree, or Associates depending on what you are going into.

"Doctor of Medicine" (abbreviated "M.D.")
If you are also doing a lot of research there, you may pick up
a PHD (Doctor of Philosophy), too.
There will be some in your class who only get PHDs.
