Sidebar??? Is this a windows computer or a mac? Are you talking about the taskbar that displays the programs currently running or some third party application?
If its Windows, and you had the taskbar on the side, you should be able to simply drag it to whichever side you want, unless it is locked. If it won't drag and drop, 'right-click' on it (with the secondary mouse button) and a menu should pop up. Select "properties" from the menu and look for a tick box labelled "lock" on the form that comes up, and remove the tick.
Then click ok and try dragging and dropping again.

Are you using Windows XP? If so, right-click on the bar, and if "Lock the Taskbar" is ticked, click on it. Then click on the small bar which appeared, and drag it back to the left. If you are not using Windows XP, Or if the taskbar is NOT locked, just grab the side, and drag it across.

just like the above, that is the correct answer, right click on the taskbar and then left click on lock the taskbar, then you can move it where ever(up, down, left, or right), move it by clicking on it and hold the click, move it to the left, then release the button, and voalla, it's there...... hope this is helpful.

Click on it, hold down the mouse button. you'll need to drag it into place at the bottom of your screen first, then drag it again to the other side.
Hope this works for you!
