I have been having contractions for the past 30 hours. They are 10-15 minutes apart and Yes I can time them. They are getting more painful but its not unbearable yet. My hospital wont admit me til they are 5-10 minutes apart or until my water breaks so how do I get that to happen? I have walked about a mile and a half this morning and I have done squats and nipple stimulation.

oooh. i remembe this all too well. i did that for almost a week and was dialated to 3 but they wouldn't admit me either. I walked two miles (on a treadmill) twice a day to try and pop that baby out!! when i gave up and said- it comes with it comes, my water broke that night. it will come when you least expect it. but your delivery should go quickly because all of your pre-labor is happening now. this, if its like mine, isn't false labor its just the slow part. good luck

The same thing happened to me. I was at 4cm for 4 weeks with my daughter (unheard of, I know...but very true).
She was on my siotic (sp) nerve for four months and also right on my spine.
I ended up calling my doctor and crying about the pain and begging for her to admit me and induce. She called the hospital and made it happen.
Most doctors will if you are past 36 weeks. It actually helps them out too, because then they can narrow down the time frame of when they are going to have to be there to catch the baby as it comes out.

Try sex and a hot bath it worked for me. I have heard of people taking caster oil. Or see if your doc will strip your membranes. Mine did and I was being admitted that night!

This is no joke....have sex. Something in the males ejaculate will cause the water to break.
