Nice answers, people! It may surprise you guys to know that just because you moved on to middle school or high school, everything and everyone below 7th grade didn't cease to exist. For the same reasons it was cool to you when it was new, it is still cool to some kids.
I have a son who lost his Fire Red cartridge, but if your question hasn't been answered by the time I see him tonight, I'll see if he remembers anything useful.
Update: He hadn't gotten to that before he lost his cartridge, so he can't help you.
