I do have to say that it has kept my dogs from the carpet they were chewing. My husband decided to duct tape the ends that the dogs had frayed. It looks horrible, but alas, it seems to be deterring the dogs. Maybe you fellas are on to something...

Because deep down, there's a bit of "MacGyver" in all men! Of course, when making a bomb out of a piece of string, gum, toilet roll tube and a paperclip, that just seems like a bit too much work for us, so we end up looking for duct tape.

Duct tape is great as a quick fix. I once used it to fix a leaky drain pipe under my kitchen sink. It lasted almost a year! Of course, then I was forced to actually REPAIR the leaky pipe, which took a lot longer and a lot of patience. Maybe that is the answer, men have no patience and don't care to do anything that requires a little thought and requires more than 3 seconds!

Duct tape has thousands of uses. Books are even available for purchase. Duct tape is not used for everything, but it will get you out of trouble (temporarily) most of the time.

Most of you are forgetting that it is also referred to as 200mph tape because it is used by NASCAR to hold fenders and body panels on after some accidents. If it can hold up to that it can do anything. By the way someone said they wouldn't change a light bulb with it? Try wrapping your fingers with it so you don't get burned by a hot bulb!
