This was on my mind for a while. And I didn't find the answer myself. So,I need your help. When someone dies,he releases a certain energy. From physics,we all know (or should have know) ,that energy cannot be made (created):it can only be transformed from one form to the other. So,my question is: Where does the energy (from the one who passed away) "go" to and how do you know (can you prove) where did it "go"? Any links would be usefull, too. Thanks.

I would guess that any energy released would be heat and/or electrical impulses, which would dissipate after briefly and slightly warming the air around it.

The guy (Ref 1) on the "Coast-to-Coast AM" radio show last night (Ref 2) said that it depends on your vibratory state when you die.

If you are "in tune" with high energy/frequency vibration there is a resonant transfer of your energy at that high level. Correspondingly, if your resonance is at a lower level that same transfer might shift your energy to the animal or plant world.

It's an interesting thought- if only because it attempts to answer basic questions like why we are here and what we should be doing while we are.

What energy are you claiming is released? Upon death, muscles relax, so there is some release of potential energy there. The body cools, so energy is given off as heat, but organisms regularly give off energy as heat anyway.

There are some people that believe in a wide range of paranormal ideas that may tell you something about an energy release upon death, but I know of no such thing in the scientific literature.

Well, if you are talking about energy in the physical sense, it goes to a lot of places: (reasons in parentheses)

1. Heat energy- to the atmosphere and other surrounding objects (the laws of thermodynamics)

2. Chemical energy (from the cells, tissues, and organs)- some of it becomes heat, some is converted to other forms of chemical energy. Some becomes parts of microorganisms and other decomposers. The rest becomes the stuff that holds the remains together. (The decomposer part of the food chain, which in itself is an energy user)

the 'energy' (scientifically, not spiritually!) is released in small amounts, depending on what is done with the body. If it is burnt, u can clearly see the heat energy; If it is buried, it is eaten up by worms etc. which metabolise it into energy for their life processes. some parts may react with the air, to release a small amt.of energy + gases, what we call decay; and thats what gives that terrible smell.

Who says an energy is released? The only energy released is the energy which worms gain from eating yo a*s!
