Here's my story folks:
Before the start of the world cup, i bought the brazilian team jersey, with Ronaldinho name on it (I was told he was the best player of the team). i paid 125 US dollars fro the shirt.

Now that the WC is over (and we all know what happened), I am ashamed to wear that shirt. I mean, what message am i trying to convey? If i go clubbing, am i telling the ladies THAT I AM ALL TALK, BUT NO PLAY ???

That's why i wanna sue his @ss. The settlement must include the $125 for the shirt, and half a million $ for emotional stress.

Any advice from lawyers?

This sounds like a great case for Judge Judy. Your maximum settlement would be only $5000, but the TV coverage on this case would be enormous, so I'm sure you'd be paid more than that even if you lost the case.

If you don't like the lights and cameras, you could also take the route of a class action suit. I'm sure there are other purchasers of these jerseys who feel the same way you do, and there is bound to be some pathetic law firm in desperate need of business and recognition who will take on your case.

You could also go out on your own. I think that this case could be very similar the MacDonald's coffee incident, where a woman successfully sued the company for millions of dollars because the coffee was too hot and burned her skin when it fell on he lap, while she was driving.

However, personally I think your case is weak. I think there is confusion about who you should sue...Ronaldinho, or the referees, or FIFA, or the coach or the team he plays for, or the Brazilian government or the German government? Because they all influenced his style of play.

Judge Judy would probably tell you to "Get over it!!!! Your case is dismissed"

For the entertainment value of this question, Y/A should pay you a stipend.

Your decision is great! As it's a distress sell, I'm ready to buy it at $4.99. Ronaldinho earns a lot of money. So, my advice is to increase the amount of compensation to $10 million. After the bargain at court you could at least get that half a million. The judge also must have been sore at Brazil's poor performance. I'm sure you would get him by your side. Move on !!!

You can't sue him fro something you chose to do. If you were forced to buy it by him...then maybe you could. But this is your individual idea to pay 125 dollars to buy it and you choosing to watch the World Cup games caused your own emotional stress. I say go see a psychologist for being one of those "I'm going to sue for every little thing" people.

haha....youre crazy. if you even attempt to sue, all youre gonna do is lose a ton of money and look like a fool.

your situation would be laughed at by lawyers.

besides, why would you pay that much for a team jersey?? you could have bought it on ebay for half that price or maybe less...

If you are running around wearing a professional athletes jersey you have bigger issues than suing the athletes. Are you trying to trick people into thinking you are Ronaldinho?

So you paid $125 for a dish rag. If you have a dishwasher now, just use it to wash your car, or maybe it would make a good door mat.

You should sue the guy who told you that Ronaldinho was the best player. You'll have to prove that you are really that dumb to believe him.

Very funny.............I don't think you'll be successful though! Yes he had a bad tournament but that doesn't mean he's no longer a good footballer. He had been awarded many prizes in the past but playing badly in a few matches doesn't take away from his past accomplishments! But I loved what you said, "ALL TALK,BUT NO PLAY'.................LOL!!!!!!!
