Has anyone heard of using dry ice in a well to open up spots to free water? We had a well drilled 200' and we believe the driller missed the veins by a few feet not in depth but in the location he drilled. Since we were out of cash we couldn't have him drill anymore. Were now out 7000 and no water.

THAT WILL NOT WORK. WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IS CALL YOUR DRILLER HAVE HIM COME BACK OUT AND KEEP ON DRILLING. AFTER THEY FIND GOOD ATER THEY NORMALLY DRILL ANOTHER 20-40 FEET TO GIVE YOU GOOD FLOW. HYDRO FRACKING A WELL IS FOR OLD WELLS THAT HAVE STOPPED PRODUCING BASICLY BLOWING WATER DOWN THE WELL TO CLEAN THE VIENS THAT HAVE SILTED IN.I HAVE DRILLED WELLS THAT ARE 50 FOOT DEEP AND A MILE DOWN THE ROAD THEY ARE 250 FOOT DEEP. IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE FORMATIONS DOWN BELOW. ITS NOT THE DRILLERS FAULT THAT THE WATER IS DEEP.HE HAS NO IDEA WHAT HES GOING TO HIT WHEN DRILLING.

Okay, my husband says that he doesn't believe the dry ice would work, but that you really do need to try something to open up the water flow - "fracking" he called it. I may get some more info when he's not had so much beer. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful yet.
