Pretend like you have a terribly painful cramp in your leg so you have to stop? Before getting too close the next time, suggest taking a shower together.
Maybe you could lead the way to better hygene by saying(as things start heating up for you)something like, "I've got to go wash up. I've been sweating all day and I want to smell good for you! I can't stand the salty taste of sweat and I know you don't like it either".
I'd have to REALLY like someone to be able to handle that one! I've been married a long time and my husband knows that I like for both of us to freshen up before hand. I just wink at him and say, were'nt you about to take a shower? If we don't have time for showers, I just get a wash cloth, get on my knees and wash him up in a sexy sort of way. Sounds silly, but hey, most men will put up with almost anything to see a girl on her knees!

Any relationship requires honesty and you must speak honestly about sex. You can also gives them hints like let's have sex in the shower or maybe you should shower first. Unless, the smell comes from a disease, everyone smells sometimes. So make it seem like it is someting natural.

I went down on my wife on a day where she wasn't so fresh, and I just came back up and had normal sex.
No need to tell someone they stink - that's mean...ruins the mood...makes the person feel bad. Just have sex - it's still fun - everyone wins. :-)

I would have made sure this was taken care of BEFORE start time. My ex and I use to wash up each other before we started. This was part of our erotica AND we both knew that the other was clean, smelling good and ready to go! go! go!

take a hot steamy shower, get them good and clean and then go for it. if they still smell, then you need to tell them. maybe they have something wrong with them and they need a doctor.
