My dad is having minor foot surgrey tomorrow, and he might have a week or more off because of it. We were thinking of traveling somewhere for a bit for vacation. We live in Michigan. Can anyone recommend a nice place to visit either in Michigan or surrounding states that wouldn't be too much money? Thanks!

It depends on where in Michigan you are going. You might want to try the Niagra Falls. I have never been there, but have heard it is beautiful.

I know the Kellogg's plant is in Michigan also that might be worth checking out.

Another idea would be Ft. Wayne Indiana. I heard there is a huge mall there that people go shopping at.

You could also try Chicago area. There is plenty to do around Chicago.

Another idea might be just going fishing on the lake. I would do a search of vacation ideas in Michigan and see what you come up with.

Good luck with the surgery and I hope I helped you out!

once you're into history and the sciences, Washington D.C could be an incredible place to circulate. i do no longer understand what the climate is around November, via fact I went in April, even nonetheless it has beautiful shape and atmosphere. additionally, in case you have the time, holiday right down to Colonial Williamsburg. it is extremely exciting. having reported that, once you're looking greater for a chilled holiday, I accept as true with all people else and circulate to the southern states, extraordinarily Florida. i've got been there in the time of the spring and summer season and it is totally, very large. At evening if there is breeze you would be wanting a delicate jacket yet different than that it is magnificent. do no longer circulate to Yellowstone or everywhere around those aspects this time of 365 days, extraordinarily in case you will possibly've planned on camping out(i'm certainly unsure what Colorado is like, yet i'm beneficial it is getting very chilly). that's better than possibly it could have snow, and Wyoming nights are VERY chilly all 365 days around. sure, our surroundings is gorgeous yet once you elect to maintain heat, do no longer circulate there.

You can usually find good deals on flights to Vegas...you will get great discounts if you book hotel and flight together thru sites like Expedia or Orbitz. The cheapest rates would be during the week. Check it out.

www.funjet.com and www.worryfreevacations.com

both have great prices on all inclusive vacations and flights out of Detroit. I have found that usually it is cheaper to go to the Carribean than to go to a beach here in US. Especially when you add up cost of food, liquor and activities.

Good luck!
