To simply work in a library you need a bachelors degree in almost anything. However, to be the head librarian OR the librarian of a department, eg children's library, etc. you will need a master's in library science. Good luck.

its a great work tat demands alot of patience and meticulous work . you should be systematic and organised. for this u can take up B.L.I.S. (BACHEOLAR OF LIBRARY SCIENCE) as an under graduate program or M.L.I.S in your post graduate level. but hands on training is very important. all the best

you have to take history too. go to william and mary school they have a program there
