People are unwilling to accept responsibility for their own misfortune. It is much simpler to blame others for their lot in life. Anyone who puts in the effort to better themselves will generally succeed, those who blame others will simply continue to find different excuses as to why they are where they are. I grew up in the projects and I knew that this is not what I wanted for myself so I got a job and put myself through school and now I own a home in a nice neighborhood and have a wonderful family. Anyone can do it, it's just that not everyone is willing to put in the work.
