The best ever MP3 player aside from an iPod (yes I had an iPod and it sucked!) is a Creative Zen MicroPhoto. It's the same price as a 2 gb iPod Nano, but has 4x the storage of a 2 gb (8 gb), plus, a voice recorder, FM radio, and you can use it as up to a 4 gb external hard drive.
