I can't believe i asked this question wrong!! It's suppost to read: Is it cool to be hip, or hip to BE cool?

It's definitely cool to be hip.

Being hip (my opinion) means to be up on what's going on, or what's going down, or what's happening, etc. And when you are hip, it's cool, because it has some authenticity to it. But saying it's hip to be cool, means that cool is just something to be 'cause it's the hip thing, which isn't true. Cool is cool, and defies eras and trends.
