Babies will wake up for food. She won't starve. That's why they cry most of the time. I let my kids tell me when they were hungry instead of a regular schedule. It's a lot less stressful for both. A sleeping baby need not be woken up or you may have a crabby baby on your hands. As long as you can, they're the boss - go with her terms and conditions and give her lots of hugsa and love (which I'm sure you do) :)

There are 2 times when it is a good idea to wake a baby up to nurse. During the first few weeks until you are *sure* baby is gaining weight and nursing well. Usually, this means until baby has had 2 doctor's appointments. And if baby is waking frequently at night and sleeping for long periods during the day. If neither of these is the case, let her sleep.

Let her sleep. She will wake when she is hungry. If you begin waking her she will never sleep through the night. Whe'll continually wake to eat. If you are trying to keep her on a schedule. Maybe you need to feed on demand. not by the clock..

During the day, you should wake her for feeds, but just leave her to sleep during the night. That way, she will learn the difference between day and night. I did that with my daughter, and she has been sleeping through the night since she was 6 weeks old. She is now 6 months old

Never wake a sleeping baby are you crazy.....Enjoy the quite. She will eat when she wakes. How pissed would you be if someone woke you because it was time to eat. Let her be. If she falls asleep while you are feeding her, I know this sounds silly but take her clothes off. Just leave the diaper on for obvious reasons. It helped me.....Let that poor baby sleep, enjoy your quiet time. :-)

no off course she won't cause as soon as she is hungry believe me she will wake up. If you start waking her up for the feeds she will not get into her own routine during the nights as she will continue to wake up every 4 or 5 hours

i've got 2 kids. when u feed them depends on how old they r & how much milk they drink at each feed. (the moore they drink and older they r the less often they will feed). but i'm presuming your baby is very young so i'd leave her a while longer. if she doesn't wake 4 a feed after a while and u r concerned then wake her.

i have 4 children and im a firm believer of feedinf babies on demand, which ie means when they wake, i was told by my heath advisor at the time, that as long as you dont leave a newborn baby any longer than 5 hours for there feed thats perfectly ok.

beleive me she will wake you up when shes hungry lol.

I think I would let her sleep depending on how long she has been sleeping. I wouldn't leave her for no longer than 4 hours, but I'm no expert.

My baby never slept even when she was a new born and I got extremely worried until my health visitor assured me all babies are different. She wasn't crying, i was just concerned she wasn't getting enough sleep.

Let her sleep...she'll wake up when she's hungry and then feed her. She'll be just fine, babies will start to sleep longer between feedings, that's normal.
