i think something's wrong with yahoo homepage today. mine is doing that too. just wait, maybe later they will fix it. just try to log-out and log-in again.

I've been having the same problem for 3 days now. I reported this to Yahoo but haven't heard back yet, and it still says I have 19 unread but I don't have that many. First Option:
Send a mail to yourself, so that the record will be update by one, hopefully the 'error' would be corrected.
Second Option:
Check your bulk mail and find out if there's any in there, then check the other folders you have[drafts,sent,trash etc]

we all are having that problem ..i hope whom ever is monitoring these q & a 's are noticing the hundreds of questions concerning this situation it has been going on fot the past few days

this system gets confused by the bak button

im trying to earn points , plz help by picking my answer as best answer, try closing your brower down then open it again by that i mean close your internet explorer then open it again if that doesnt work make sure your save after deleting ur msgs...

delete yahoo and reinstall it ..... there may also be a aproblem with the site itself

it's showing that i have two. someone said to hit refresh and it would stop. that doesn't work.
