ok my bf,anthony, went with me to my swim meet,he ended up just hanging with his best friend,ryan,they did not even watch anyone swim just sat there talked and ate junk food. then i took my swim cap, filled it up alittle bit, and when i knew they were outside i dumped it on him and ryan and then i ran. now hes so mad at me he hes thinking about breaking up.i mean i just got his back wet a little and really i missed ryan so he not even wet.should i just let him breakup with if he is going to,im suposse to call him,but my mom wont let me. i mean i might of embrassed him but he embrassed me. and anyways i was just joking around. we have only been going out for about 2 months!

If he is willing to break up with you over a little bit of water- then he is totally selfish and self centered and only cares about himself! Those r things that mess up any good relationship! he sounds very moody! If he cant PLAY around and take kidding and a joke- Id tell him to hit the road! You dont want to spend all that time in a relationship being afraid to say or do something cuz it might make the little darling MAD!!!! Give him the boot if he doesnt get mature fast

Any guy that would break up with you over that isnt worth it. You obviously need a guy you can joke around with considering that looks like the type of person you are. My ex used to be the same way and no matter what I did he couldnt take a joke. I wasn't happy with that because I felt that I had to change the person who I was to be his girl friend. If you really like him and think he was just having a bad day, I would talk to him about it. But if he still doesnt forgive and forget, or if he has always been like this, I would leave him before he left me. Good luck<3

Like the others have said, apologize, tell him you were just trying to get him to lighten up a little and participate, you didn't mean anything by it.
If he can't take that and still wants to break up, let him. Find someone that will be more interested in watching you swim at a swim meet rather than just talking with a friend.

Well I know where you're coming from. Try to talk to him. I know it might be hard but if you are calm and honest, that will set a good example for him to do the same. Tell him that you understand that friends are very important. But also point out that there is a time for friends and a time for a little bit of 'alone time'. He shouldn't be mad about the water joke. You were just having some fun. Just be like, "I'm sorry I dumped water on you. I didn't know you weren't in the mood to get wet".

Girl If he breaks up with you because of that then dump him first its water not a disease he can get over it he's to immature for you if he's that mad about it!!! and if he cant take a joke then just stop the nonsense and dump him!! He went there to support you in your competition, and then ignored you in favor of someone that he can see and talk to at any time. If anything YOU have the right to be upset about the inconsiderate way he acted, when this is something that is important to you. If he's so insecure that a little joke and some water kills his ego, then he's not worth it! If you've already said "sorry" and he's still pi$$ed, then he's not worth it.

If he gets mad at you just because of a little water there may be something going on with him that he is not telling youso give him some time space and understanding and if he doesn't cool off break up with him no matter what your mom says. She can't control your emotions.

I know you wanted him to be there to watch you, but guys will be guys and do what they want,but at that point in time you were mad when you poured the water on him i know he was wrong but you shouldn't have done that. some times guys don't like to be played with when they are around their friends, but if he is going to break up with you for some stupid *** reason then let him,because if it takes that little to get him up set and say that to you that is dead wrong. I had a boyfriend who broke up with be because i accidentally slammed his car door. but if you really like him i think maybe you should talk to him, but don't make it seem like every thing was your fault

no guy is worth grieveing over if he is just not going to pay attention to you then you should find someone better ..
