Motorola V3i for 11200/- is a very good deal.
Nokia N91 & N80 are brilliant phones but are quite bulky.
Samsung SGH-D820 is very good & the new ultra slim edition is just awesome. But this edition has not been seen by me as yet.

I just bought the motorola v235. It's a good phone, but the camera sucks. It works, but if you plan on printing pictures off of a camera, this one wouldn't be the one. I also have a nokia 6230. That has been the greatest phone! It is awesome. And the camera is absolutely perfect! My friend has a v555 which has been great for him. It's kind of an old phone now though. I've heard some good things about the razr, but I've also heard that it's easy to ruin. Whether you get it wet, get scratches, ruin the screen, etc.

It depends what provider you have. I have sprint and I love it. I reccomend the Samsung A900 phone. Its awesome. It has long video clips, a tv, internet readio, internet acessibility, mp3 player, broadband modem, digital camera, its durable cuz its made of metal. Its overall awesome. I would try to get this if you go with sprint.

It depends on what you want to do with it.
Just make phone calls, Mp3 music, video, pictures? Making toast?
Decide what type you want, clamshell, slidy type, monoblock.
Check out the battery time, it can vary quite a lot.
And finally how much do you want to pay, unless you go contract.
Me, I like Nokias because they have a good menu system with good quick keys.
