Did you delete all the mails in your inbox or only new mails in first page of inbox. If its second case, sometimes there may be some unchecked mails in the second or third page of your inbox.
If you have messages in your inbox, do check in the next pages !
You may find some unchecked message, just delete it or read it and your problem is solved !
If there are no messages in inbox, try finding in BULK folder. Yahoo mail has no bugs whatsoever ! Good luck. bye

Me, too. Been going on for about 10 days, now. Never happened before!! I agree, it's not US, it's THEM....
PS...at the same time, I started getting POPUPS, 2 of them, adertising for POPUP BLOCKERS. Everytime I get a number 2 on the email envelope, the popups are reinstated. I think we have more going on here than just a mail box problem. The POPUP blocker isn't working on ONLY these 2 popups. HOW COME???
I scan every night, and reset to run when I log in. Yet, I'm only getting these popups on Yahoo.

I've had that for the last couple days too. I don't know what's up with that, but if it's happening to more than one person, it's probably Yahoo's problem. I'm just going to ignore it and see how long it takes them to fix it. If it goes more than a week, maybe I'll email the administrator and see if that does anything. If you're already tired of it though, you could probably get somebody's attention at Admin@yahoo.com. Good luck!

I have the same problem but everytime i sign out or restart again it still says 1 unread mail.

It did the same thing to me & it won't go away even if I close the window & then come back & log back in. It is still there & it has been 2 days. Sorry I have no clue & I was wondering the same thing.

check again or go to the control panel click add or remove programs then eithe r remover and reinstll or repair it

if you don't have anymore mail in it, just ignore it...
or report it to the authorities
