I always said my strengths were that I was organized, hard working, and very determined.
For weaknesses I said that I always put too much pressure on myself. I always try to do too much myself and I have very high expectations for myself which can sometimes be challenging. Also say you are willing to work hard to overcome whatever weakness you state. Using examples is helpful.

Those have always worked for me! I went on 5 interviews in the last few months and I was offered all of the jobs. Ofcorse it wasn't JUST based on this question, but I did use these answers in all of the interviews I was asked it! Good luck!

This is a very standard question in interviews, so be sure to answer honestly.

Strengths are what you can bring to the job/company. Examples, hard worker, skilled in XY software, patient personality, etc.
Weaknesses are areas/skills that may not come naturally to you, and you are aware of this.

Everyone has strengths and weaknesses and the more you know about yourself, the more the company will take you seriously as a candidate.

Do NOT avoid talking about weaknesses. For example, if you are not a naturally organized person, let them know that to overcome this you use a day-planner to help you keep focused.

For strengths, if you are naturally task oriented/goal oriented, let them know that what motivates you at work is seeing progress or results with your work. Give an example of how you were successful at previous jobs because of this strength.

It is good to have 2-3 strengths and weaknesses identified, but only discuss 1-2 each in the interview unless asked for more.

Just keep in mind, you should know yourself better than anyone else.

Good luck!

You must know yourself.
There are lots of websites which offer you tests for your personality, or inherent career directions, such as careerone, or seek or tickle and even some of the universities have these tests. They usually give you some brief answers and then offer you the opportunity to puchase the full report for $50 or something like that. You can borrow books from the library to get some ideas. There are employment agencies which can help you with these questions, or your local community college.
But essentially, if you had the job of interviewing people for the position, would you want to hear someone saying " I don't know what my strengths and weaknesses are, what do you mean?" I think in an ideal family, you could ask your mum and dad and siblings, but I can't in my family, so I assume you can't in your family, so we are doomed to finding things out the hard way.

Try to say things that are really your strengths. Like I am always put work in order according to its need. Or I answer the phone on the 2 or 3 ring as I do not like hearing the phone constantly ringing without being answered, as I put myself in the persons place that is calling.

When they ask about strengths, be prepared with 3 qualities and mention them 1,2,3 ......no extra talk unless asked for extra talk.
When they ask about weaknesses, all they really want to know is can you admit you have some.
Say:
"Yes, I have weak points. However, I am conscious of them and have been working on them."
If they press for an example, mention something that could also be thought of as a strong point.
Example:
"I've been told I'm too thorough."
"I've been told I don't have to be so serious."

Know the company first .

Mention strong points that fits the job description they are looking for.

And never memorize answers.

Weaknessess...mention only one attitude which does not affect a job too much.

Or something like: you're not familliar with a certain line of product which is not needed in the current company where you're applying.

Your strengths would be what is BEST ABOUT YOU, That is where it is your time to share with them why they should HIRE YOU. Your weakness would be just that something that you do not like about yourself. That you would not care/mind sharing with an employer, In most cases some people do not share this, But DO YOUR BEST TAKE CARE, AND I WISH YOU WELL.

As far as you weaknesses question, nobody is perfect so definitely do not tell them that you don't have any. Tell them one of your weaknesses but also turned it into a positive at the end.

try always to talk about strengths. give examples of how you have used your talents (strenghts) in situations. how it beniffited both you and others. the experience you gained from it.

if possible all times avoid talking about weaknesses . but if asked say you're working to overcome them.

in the experience that your father and mom are around, perhaps you will possibly desire to ask them what it became like of their first activity interviews and ask them to prepare with you. if no longer, then perhaps you will possibly be able to desire to ask a chum that already has a role to prepare with you
