There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......
(L)isten: and validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

There are many kinds of love
Gods love
Mothers love, Man and woman, the love between men and women give us the most trouble, so let me address that one. 2500 years ago a roman philosopher answered it this way. " The delight of the eye is the beginning of love but one does not for all that love, It's when one longs for one when one is gone"
I'm sure there are many young people who believe they love because of attraction etc. age has nothing to do with it. If your heart aches when your lover is gone this is love. Just make sure it's mutual.

There are 2 kinds of love platonic and romantic. Both are when someone else cares about you and your wellbeing.Opposite of hate is indifference.

its the feeling that u need someone besides u and when s/he goes u feel sad and lonely.
