Well for me in labour with my 2 girls was the fact that every contraction I had their heart rates dropped. They didn't offer a cesarean or anything. My eldest (now 2.5yrs) was not breathing for 6mins when she was born. I tore and had stitches for 5wks.
The 2nd daughter (now 12mths) was breathing thankfully, but was on her side the whole way throughout labour and therefore got stuck. I had midwives pressing on my stomach and pushing my hips down to open my pelvis. I had to have an episiotomy with her. They told me she was almost too big (6lbs 7oz)
I'm now 7wks pregnant with #3 and praying all goes well this time round. At the moment I'm sick 24/7 and am not able to travel in car without getting very ill.
As for the pooping on the table, it is very common when giving birth as the baby pushes on the bowels coming down the birth canal. It's not something to be embarrased about because many woman do it and some may not even realise.

The contractions were awful until I got an epidural...which didn't hurt. Pushing was a little painful, but not too bad. I didn't poop on the table so I can't tell you about that. I did have an internal tear. To me, that being stitched up was the worst part of the whole thing.

The only other thing that hurt was trying to do anything (especially breast feeding) with the IV in my hand. You can't exactly move your hand the way you need/want to.

The only other thing that I wasn't thrilled about was bleeding to 6-8 weeks after!

Oh my wife definatel pooped on the table. But the worst part for her was not being able to sleep for 3 days during labor and then having to push the baby out.

The IV in the hand. Especially when they pop a vein.
They had to break my water with all 3 kids - it hurts
labor pains until you get the epidural
the epidural hurts too
then it is easy - except when you are pushing forever and you feel like your head will explode.
But... Just remember - no matter what you go through and how hard it is and how much it hurts - at the end you get to see and hold your new precious baby, and it is all worth it.
That is the best experience ever - it is far more special then anything else that could happen to you.

The next 18 years! Ha! No, I'm just kidding. I think the worst part about giving birth is the unexpected. You never know exactly what's gonna happen. I was in labor for 19 hours before I had to go in for an emergency c-section. I was sacred out of my wits!

What united states of america are you from? Nationalized drugs? i'm keen to guess your community has some classes to assist youthful mothers. Motherhood could be a real blessing, so do not enable it scare you. delight in it and cherish all the loopy emotions which you would be experiencing interior of here couple of months. you're actually not on my own. in simple terms think of- 266 women supply birthevery minute in the international! isn't that great?

I went natural, no drugs at all. I did the Lamaze breathing. The worse part was the shock of how much labor hurt. No one ever prepared me for it! The actual contractions of your body thinning the cervix and opening it was the worse part. That part hurt! I had back labor, and my husbands coffee breath killed me!

But transition and the actual delivery was easy and virtually pretty pain free, by that time I was so excited that it was almost over and I could take an active part, "pushing", that the pain was almost negligible. (And this is the time they usually administer the epidural and pain meds). So unnecessary at this point!

Also it hurt to breast feed, the sucking and let down of your milk stings, but the pain is so worth it! There is nothing more beautiful and fulfilling as being able to nurse your baby. Just toughen up those nipple beforehand by letting the shower stream down on them, and pinch and massage them. But DO NOT wash them with soap, just rinse with water.

Pooping on the table is not bad; it is expected - you probably won't even know that you are doing it. The worst part for us was having to undergo an unexpected c-section. Our boy was too big...

The worst part for me was the fear of now knowing what would happen. My daughter was too big and got stuck so they tried to use vacume on her head but she had to much hair so it wouldn't work and I ended up with an emergency c-section. Other than that my nurses were great and so was the dr that did my epidural.

the worst part for me was waiting for the stitches to heal ( i had an episiotomy) so i was in pain in that area for a few days i could not sit properly and then i had to sit in steaming hot salt water ( as hot as i could take it ) so that the stitches would heal faster and melt away
