Tells you your ip

On the other hand, you could go into command prompt, type ipconfig, it shows you your ip

Somthing to watchout for, if you are on a LAN or behing a router, the command propt way of doing it will only give you your network ip (the one that is used in your network) to find the ip people on the internet can connect to you with, you must use the 1st option

A couple ways:

1. Click the Start button, and select Run.
2. Type CMD and hit Enter.
3. A black window appears. Type IPCONFIG and hit enter.
4. A list displays with your IP address.

The other way:

1. Click the Start button, select Settings, and click Network Connections.
2. Double-click your internet connection. usually says Local Area Connection, DSL, etc.
3. a box pops up. Click the Support tab.
4. a list with the IP address and other stuff comes up.

Cheers,

Andy

If you're running windows, go to the start menu, then the "Run" command. A new window should open up, type in "cmd" and hit "enter". Another window will open up, the command prompt. Type in "ipconfig" and hit "enter". It will show your ipaddress and some other information.

A roundabout way, but hey, 2 points are still 2 points :-p
