A guy my mother knew said he'd been brought back to life 27 times or something in this one hospital visit and he was drifting towards a white light he said it was very calm and peaceful but suddenly he was like being pulled back away from the light in chaos around him! lol He couldn't remember the stuff that had been going around him at the time his heart stopped either...so I believe it to be true.

Cardiac arrest is when the heart stops...its the actual act of your heart stopping, you mean the little things when they say "STAT" lmao! and the body like jumps I suppose, the same things happen when you are brought back to life, doesn't matter which way whether its through mouth-to-mouth you'd still be dying then resuscitated.

Cardiac Arrest is when the heart stops pumping blood and ceases activity. Its not something you use on someone.

You could mean CPR, Cardio-pulominary Resucitation which uses chest compressions to pump the blood round and mouth-to-mouth rescusitation to provide air. This does not bring a person back yo life, it only keeps the brain alive. A defibrilator is required to provide a current of electricity to restart the heart and restore normal rythym.

Very interesting answers to the other question here, so I ll leave them to answer that bit.

Because the very definition of "death" is pretty vague, it's hard to know.

Many people have had their heart stop, and had it restarted again. They mostly report remembering absolutely nothing about the experience. Some report similar "being drawn to a white light down a tunnel" experiences, but they are not as many as people seem to believe.

I'm not sure what people reported experiencing in near-death situations before the "white light" stuff became common in the popular literature, however. And remember that eye-witness accounts are considered the least reliable evidence in crime investigations!

I have heard of a lot of such people who have suffered a cardiac arrest and then have recovered to lead normal lives, though it has always seemed that these are nothing but apocryphal stories. But in emergency rooms, you'll get people who have been revived for short periods of time through various kinds of medical activity

Do you mean CPR or a defibrillator being used on a person that is having a heart attack and the heart has stopped ? I know many people have been brought back, their life restored by a beating heart, some say they see a bright light and are walking toward it,but it could also be the bright lights in an emergency room. I have never been that close to death myself

Well, Mothra has killed me twice now, but I came back both times and gave him a beating.
What's it like on the other side? An infinite Tokyo to smash, no two skyscrapers alike.
Sigh ^_^
