I would just like to know exactly what you believe in ( or don't) and I would like to know what you believe happens when we die? Thank you.

I think you mean to ask this question of atheists/agnostics. Not non-christians. There are many non-christians that believe in heaven (or some form of it).

Personally, I don't know what happens when you die. I just don't know. That's my only answer.

The truth is that many non-christians were once Church going people. There parents would make them go as little children, but as time when on some stopped caring, others felt lost. For me it was a little different. I was very church going once. I was even going to seminary to become a pastor of a church. Then one day i had an accident, and my heart stopped for 2 whole minutes, and you know what happened then? NOTHING. I did not see a burning light, I did not see my life before me, all I knew was I could hear everythign going on around me, I was even able to tell the doctor what he said. From that point I started to seriously find out as much as I could about religion, I started to study all religions, and the things that I found out made me realize that religion is just a bunch of stories about having faith, God is just a figure to help people relate it to something. Kind of like a father figure, but for all people who believe. You can have faith in anything it does not matter what it is, as there are so many religions in the world. So I believe in me. I think that we are linked to the earth in some way. When we die we just die. You know the circle of life. I believe in evolution. I believe in all of this even after 22 years of studying and practicing religion.

I have no "beliefs in something". I believe that when we die, that's it, and there is no point to religion at all. I will decay just like everyone else, and eventually I will cease to exist. My memory will be forgotten and life will move on.

I do not think that this is depressing, as I have never thought anything else. I am unable to feel or sense the presence of a higher being, so I am unable to convince myself that there is one.

I do very much dislike the idea that because I "chose" to not feel the love of god, I am sentenced to everlasting hell, and I deeply resent it when someone says this.

I do not have doubts, and I also resent it when people say that their are no true atheists. I have far more faith in what I believe than what is possible for others to have in a higher being.

I'm wiccan I believe in the Goddess and the God. I believe in karma (what you do comes back threefold) and I believe in the wiccan rede, "An it harm none, do what thy will". I also believe in natural healing, devination, and magic. Christians generally have a real problem with magic, but the way I see it is a spell is a prayer with symbolism, so what's the problem? As for when I die, my soul will go to the summerlands, a peaceful place apart, and I will take time to reflect on what I learned in my last life and choose the lessons I want/need to learn in my next life. Then I'll be reincarnated.

I am not a Christian. But I believe in life after death. I have seen spirits many times in my life. I am not sure about what happens when people die, but I believe some people are reincarnated and some are wandering around aimlessly in death.

Coming from a legal background, I believe in what is morally right. For instance, the Canadian Charter (equivelant of US constitution) says that everybody is equal...in not so many words of course. That said, what makes it right not to have gay people get married? What's the harm in that? It's just two people who wants to express their love to each other. No harm, no foul, I always say. I also believe in scientific facts, and not what some mythical book tells me.

When I die, I hope that nothing happens to me. Just pure...nothingness; kinda like when you sleep. Hopefully, my death'll mean something significant.

Well, I'm thinking I'm converting to Christianity here soon. Shh. But what I believe is there is a God, and you get to him only by good deeds. The better you are on earth, you get to heaven. That discludes sex, smoking, drinking, and partying. I'm talking about doing good unto others. But what happens when I die is dependant upon earth. So there you have it.

I believe in Creator. I believe in The Great Spirit. I believe there is afterlife- that when I perish my spirit will be transported into another living being born on the day I perish. I believe in the First Nations way of living.

I believe in right and wrong, I believe in loving those that deserve it and when I die, I will just be put in the ground and eventually rot and become part of the soil.

I believe in God but I don't like to refer myself into a category of catholic or christian. I do believe in God as an individual. I do believe that we all can be reborn or be happy on the other side. There is no hell where your going to burn and becoming screaming souls but there is a place where people who don't like God or don't accept him they are placed in darkness.
