Soak a flannel in cold water, squeeze out most, but leave quite wet, then place it round the nape (back) of your neck and keep it there... turning it every half hour or so, to keep the coolest part against your skin.
Rinse and soak every hour or so and replace it with cold water, wear it all day whilst inside... keep your windows open, put a fan on, drink loads and loads of water, and fruit juices. Keep to shady side of house and shut curtains, if directly in the sun.
I'm wearing my flannel now... and feeling fine! And I'm certainly not a hot weather merchant!
Sweat is your body's natural way of keeping you at the correct temperature. Stay away from wines and spirits, and alcoholic drinks, they only make you worse in heat.
Concentrate on a good movie, or writing answers in here, or even read a book/magazine/newspaper... if you can't, just shut your eyes and rest.
If this doesn't help, contanct NHS Direct (UK) and they will advise you further.
Hope you feel better soon.

I felt sick when I woke up this morning! Think its because I had the fan on and the window closed. Keep your window open in the night, stops you from getting headaches and also drink plenty of water/juice during the day. Im hating this weather....Roll on winter!!!

You sound as if you might be a bit dehydrated and need salt as well as more liquid, but best to see your doctor straight away or go to the local NHS walk in centre or hospital A&E if you dont feel any better soon.

Lie in the shade, drink plenty of water, and get a fella to fan you and peel grapes for you.

True...it's really hot. Don't go in places with lots of people and drink plenty of water.
