Depending on the grant you are looking for...

If you need money for school, call your local high school counselors or the financial aid dept. of you local community college.

For housing you would contact your local HUD or 1st time Home Buyers association or county information line.

I went to my local librabry and read Matthew Lesko's books, he's the crazy guy in the infomercials with the ???? suit on in geeky glasses. His is the most comprehensive guide to grant finding I have ever located, including several for pay sites online. Lesko also has book specializing in medical care, school, and how to apply and write a good grant propsal. Don't purchase a used copy unless it is the most recent edition as grant availability can change year to year.

I am very sorry for your loss.

Are single mothers any more deserving then married? And why didn't you think of your financial position BEFORE you decided to sleep around and give birth? You should have thought about that the day you found out that you are pregnant and choose to keep the bastard (as harsh word this is that is the true definition of it- a child without a parent.) And why do you think society owes you because who do you think pays taxes so government can have money to give these grants to people like you
