The question is whether or not two people with that significant basic difference would have enough in common to have a decent conversation and then be able to spend time together with common interests. All other things being equal, its unlikely that you'd share the same interests. I mean when I was 18, I sat around and played video games. Now that I'm 26... well, I'm an attorney and have slightly different expectations for my life. Long term it presents a number of issues that some people are willing to ignore.

There really isn 't an issue. 8 years is not that big of a difference especially when the two are consenting adults. Some people mature faster than others and to ignore what could be a wonderful relationship would be wrong based solely on age. Age is a state of mind and only a number. I think that if two people are truly happy, then trivial things like that should not matter.

You could, but the real question is, why should he date an older woman? I know I wouldn't - I can afford hotter, younger, women.

A man's income generally determines the type of woman he will get.

It's not often that you see a really rich guy with a really ugly girl on his arm. But you quite often see really amazing girls on the arm of homely but rich guys. Look at rock stars -- some of the ugliest guys on earth, but they get laid more than you can ever hope to. Money and power attract women.

There is nothing wrong with it. In fact, before we were married, my husband was advised by several of his friends that he needed to find him an older woman...which he did! I am seven years older than he is. My sister is also seven years older than her husband. It works great for us, and as long as the younger man isn't immature in his behavior, there shouldn't be a problem!

Yes a older woman can feel free to date someone younger than she is. As long as the guy is of age and mature. I married a guy who is 11 years younger than I am. We had several talks about the age difference, what it would mean in the future, and he loves me no matter. Go for it and be happy. It is your life and you only get one.

Men aren’t “supposed” to seek out advice on how to get women or ask their friends how do I get a girl. We don’t sit around analyzing each other’s relationships. Still, picking up beautiful women is a skill that anyone can learn with enough time, practice, and access to the right resources. Read here https://tr.im/oYBJj
There is a ton of stuff ( to help you get started. Sometimes the techniques go against “conventional wisdom” or what seems to work in movies and romance novels. Push yourself out of your comfort zone and try them – they DO work and they are a huge advantage over the competition.

As long as the two of you are both okay with it, there is no reason why you can't date a younger man.

I don't think it's that weird, esp. if they are both reasonably old, however, since you threw in the maturity comment, I'm guessing they're not. The Mrs. Robinson idea does sound a bit perverse, but if they're happy...
