self trust is knowing that you can do things without others help. You can boost this by doing small little things yourself, then escalate to bigger more important things, but as you do this, remember down burn out trying to do something, and always have people there to help you in case it becomes too much.

you will need the support of your close friends to help you through this... self trust, i think, is knowing that you will never betray yourself... knowing you will always do what is right for you and not put yourself in danger (physical or emotional) purposely... i think you're really talking about self confidence... to boost that you should read self help books, read a lot of other stuff that make s you feel good (chick novels, mysteries, magazines, etc...), have a hobby, learn something new, go out and be in public- even if it means going to a bookstore to read or study, eat healthy and exercise-that will ALWAYS boost your self esteem, watch comedies, etc...
I have social phobia... it can be very inconvenient to my friends... but trust me, when your self confidence increases, the social phobia will decrease... it'll take time... i relapse a lot, but i never give up my ambition to be a better a person... think about the rest of the world and research ways to help certain organizations and charities... like the world wildlife foundation... or a political group...
wanting to change is huge step... so i am sure you will have no problems... just remember, it'll take time...good luck!!!

Self trust is just a matter of trusting your judgment. One way to do this is to "KNOW THYSELF". When you know yourself you are better able to realize why you gravitate a certain way and inevitably make your decisions. What is it you want and why are questions you can ask yourself.

Example:
You keep dating the same type of person. They have the same problem: pick a problem, unfaithful; money mongers; violent batterers. Don't just mistrust yourself and live with that opinion of yourself. Ask yourself why do you keep dating the same type of person? And no matter what you do and how much you try to date a different type you keep meeting the same person in a different form. Usually, this happens when there is is an unresolved conflict in your life. This is why you must "KNOW THYSELF": so that you may overcome the inclination to engage in self disruptive behavior, and decisions.

It is difficult to do this when you are young, but as you get older you become better at it. Professional help also is good in sorting this out.

Self trust really all you need is to be honest with yourself and like you for who you are. Try some new activities and meeting new people and I'm sure that your self esteem will also rise. Good luck!

Self trust deals with self esteem... being able to trust yourself that you are making the right decision about the right question. The first step in correcting any problem is knowing what the problem is and that you have one. You've done that... now take the steps to fix it!

To me, self trust means I can depend on myself. I can trust my judgment, intuition, and inner strength to get through things, to help others, to lead the way when needed. How to boost it within yourself? Start with little things that come up in your life. Treat them with kindness and honesty. Through honesty you come to know yourself, your strengths and limitations. As you respond to life in an honest way you will gain trust. As you do your best in what comes before you, you will gain inner stability. As these two things grow together in you, you will begin to feel peace and confidence. Then you keep building on this and it will take you on a wonderful adventure!

R U ready?
If you are, this is what you do, right before you go to bed, and right when you wake up.

Go to a mirror and look into your eyes(not at your eyes).
State the following as FACTS as your TRUTH:

I love you.
I honor who you are and what you are.
