I recently moved to an area not served by AT&T/SBC and have high speed cable provided by Cox Communications. I am hoping a switch to Yahoo will save my address bookk & mail files.

I always thought Yahoo and SBC/AT&T were all the same!

once your account with sbc is closed, try to sign in. It will tell you that your account is not active and you have 30days to convert your account to yahoo to save it... It will give you a link and walk you thru the process... The good news is you will keep your email, the bad news is you will lose your address book. If your account is still active I would suggest sending an email address to everyone in your address book, that way when you convert it, you will have the email you sent and it will have everyone's address in it... Good luck!
