I'm pretty sure it is illegal to buy chipmunks as pets, or for any other reason.

I don't know that they sell chipmunks as pets. They are considered wild life and in most places it is illegal to keep wild animals. Have you ever seen them for sale?

We have 100's of these things running around here. I do feed them, and that keep them around here, they have their babies mid summer. Theses are outdoor animals, I do not think you would have alto of luck domesticating them, but I could be wrong.

Online breeders carry them. Try checking around kingsnake.com they list a ton of breeders and exotic import/export companies.

chipmunks are in the wild, leave them there where they belong, they dont want to be ''pets''

buy a trap they are cheaper
