Do you have a water softener? My water pressure recently went way down and I called the plumber and he pushed the by-pass button on my water softener. Turned out my softener is fryed so until I get a new one he just had the water by-pass it. And this gem of knowledge ONLY cost me $100! (I was not happy...he was at my house like 3 minutes...lol).

Call a reputable plummer. Actually, call many of them that offer free estimates and let them tell you what has to be done and the price. I bet new pipes, the stink pipe too, it is on top the house, also it could have to do with the lines comiong in. Dd you replace the shower? I would start there, the whole shower, all the way replacing the showerhead. There also could be some minor clogs, so start there. I would talk to your neighbors before anything, those that have been there awhile may know or probably do know about the water pressure in that neighborhood. If many would have asked us here, we could have saved them thousands of dolars since we owned this house here for thirty some years. Nobody asked, so we did not know until it was too late that they had goten taken for allot. Good Luck to you and hope it is a simple resolution to your problem. Is the shower the only water pressure problem? If so, it is your shower fixtures or and pipes in the shower. Maybe a new shower kit will do it. I would like to add, that living in a downtown area, so many folks using water at the sametime can have an impact on the water pressure. When we use our sprinkler here, and someone else in the neighborhood uses water, our pressure goes down too. So be careful and try not to spend unless you are sure.Get a written guarantee. Did you ask the previous owners?
