Did you maybe delete them without reading them. They could be still in the trash, unread, and yahoo considers them New.

Every one is having that problem. Just be patiend and hopefully Yahoo will have it fixed soon.

I was about asking the same question. I have been having the same problem since today. Hope yahoo will sort it out. relax you are not alone on this.

ive been having the same problem recently too! and i saw someone else just posted the same question. yahoo must be malfunctioning or something.
