Right before you delievered how miserable were you? I am 39 weeks tomorrow and boy do I feel like crap. Crampiness, restless, nauesea, low aches and pais in what I am guessing is my cervix. Yesterday found out I am 2cm dilated and 80% effaced. Could it be? Could there finally be an end in sight?!

Wow,Do i know how you feel?A year ago today,I was in the hosptial,getting ready to have my daughter.I was 38wks and 6 days.Boy,did I want to have her.The pains I were having,the pressure pushing down on my cervix and the nights of waking up and going to the bathroom.On top of that,I was a high risk pregnancy,due to an Incompetent cervix.
I wouldnt have change anything about my pregnancy with my daughter.If I could I would do it again.Every pain was worth it in the end.Just to get to hold your baby and see them for the first time.Now that a year has gone by,I wish I had alittle more time of her being small.Seems just yesterday that I took her home.My labor wasnt really bad at all.I believe that my labor was 7 hours.

I was 38 weeks when I delivered... right before my water burst, I was feeling fine. Just the regular aches.. and then poof! I heard a pop and out came gushing... all my water. That's when the real contractions kicked in. Just a few hours earlier, I had a GYN visit and was told I was 3 cm. So it's all a matter of time before the show starts. I would say... expect it at any moment.

There is definitely a light at the end of the tunnel, and it sounds like you are almost there!
With two of my children, I felt like I had flu for about 12 hours before labor. Threw up a lot, felt achy too. With all three of them, in the 24 hours before I went into labor, I was really, really busy doing things ... this last time the night I went into labor I stayed up addressing birth announcements.

Hmmm...With the three I have...By the time delivery came, I was so ready to just get it over with. you are so tired of strecthing, bones creeking, rolling out of bed and waddling that your due date just can't come fast enough. LOL But I know with me and my 3 prevous deliveries....My last pelvic exam sent me to the hospital the very next day. I would always tell my docs that I would see them tomorrow and low and behold...there we were! lol But you sound like you are on your way to motherhood ver soon at 39 weeks, 80% Effaced and 2 cm. Congrats and I hope you make it in soon! (smile) I have 8 whole months ahead of me...I'm on my 4th and LAST! lol

I am 39 weeks tomorrow as well. I have never been so bitchy in my life. I have an appointment tomorrow. I have not had an internal since around 16 weeks. My midwife stinks! Anyway Good Luck.

I felt like that for a week before I went into labor but I was dialated for at 1cm and 80% for like 3 weeks before. Hang in there, you're almost there!

i had back pain and did not want to do nothing but lay around . u could be in labor if u start to hurt in your back or stomach like cramps lke you or on your period i would go to the hospital because i had all of my kids at 38 weeks and that are health

i am in tha same position as you!! except i dont turn 39 weeks til sunday! i hope that means you are very soon bc if you are, i am too :) idk how effaced i am, i kno im 2cm dilated too tho!!! hope you have your baby soon!!!! i have been soo impatient waiting lol!
