Give out a hundred copies of a good readable book to a standardised, selected group of hundred persons who are more or less similar to possible extent. Allow them to read it under similar conditions. Soon after they finish reading, ask them the gist of it . Their versions will be hundred new versions of the same book ! A simple text, copies of the very same, can generate so many versions ! Inspite of teaching the same text book, in a school classroom, for a whole year, the version reproduced in exams do differ. So even concerted effort does not yield the desired results !
Then what of perception of the 'live' , ever changing, drama of life around us ! Rain is welcomed by a needy farmer, the same hated by a well dressed groom caught unawares on his way to wedding ceremony ! Repeated reactions within causes a strong perceptional variation over a period of time, and the whole world is now totally different to each person. The repeated perception is causing the instincts , impulses, etc, to form a sort of 'habit' or pattern, in turn leading to a steady unique perspective.

Reality can never be an Illusion. But the reality in which we live is surely an illusion, a projection of something else which is really real. The best example is the computer, everything in the computer,it's brain[the processor and the hard disk],the sound we here or the colours we see or the animations and movies we see what are all this made up of?? they are not real are they??they are just a projection of Electric current flowing through various ICs and other parts of a computer,a great illusion isn't it?? Such is the reality we live in,just an illusion just a projection of something else in motion. And yes everyone has it's own perspection of reality and own Perspective. And these factors are the ones that makes things so diverse and retain the illusion. These factors are must for our living the illusion.

Everyone creates his own "reality" based on his own perspective. Which is generally influenced by his environment and the will to survive.

We are all unique and have very few, if any, commonly held perceptions.

Everyone lives in a world he creates that best suits his own needs.

Reality is an illusion.

It is not an illusion, but fact. How can that which is not real seems to be real? Life is amazing that is why. An amazing God who have no beginning and end creates it. Only God can create something as amazing as life. Big bang is a lie and anything that man suggest to be the cause of life is false. How can that which is non-life produces life continually. It must be something that is full of life and have a purpose for the future. If there was no future there would be no evolution or progress. evolution is a Divine plan.

Perception is truth. Each person's perception of reality is their own truth. It's different, even if only slightly so, for everyone.

We are living a temporal illusion in this physical dimension. When we leave here (die) and our soul is release from its physical confines, we will return to our true home in the world of the spiritual, when we will once again make the choice of whether to stay or re-incarnate in the physical, be it here or in a more highly evolved world. I think I'm going to stay awhile next time.

It probably is. But that doesn't make it false. What we perceive may be unique to each person. I wouldn't say a frame of mind, but that each mind interprets things differently. I see the colour blue and I continue to call it blue, and not orange on a different day. However, my blue might be your teal, your teal someone else's forest green.

If all that is true, it is a wonder we ever agree on anything at all.

It's a matter of perception AND perspective! "Reality" is what we (as a group of humans, golfers, priests, criminals, etc.) agree exists. It varies according to your perspective and your ability to percieve that which is around you. To me, reality is an illusion, so I don't tend to take things too seriously in "life". And, you are welcome! That is the 5 cent answer to a very heavy question, so please don't pass judgement too harshly on me ;)

an interesting question.
supposedly color is different for everyone, my red could be your blue, but we both know the color as red.
even though we see things differently we are all bound by the same laws of the universe. no human can fly because he/she wants to. here's a dorky example of what I'm trying to convey, we are all playing the same game together (which means same rules) but we are playing as different characters. everybody has different skills so they have to see things in a way that compliments their skills.

I think we are all living in the same "reality" but we have our own perspective of it.
If that answered anything for you, your welcome.
If not, your welcome.

its a thin line. What takes us past the reality is books, television, radio, video games, and lots of things that take us past the brink of reality, but in this type of our near-chaotic society, for many of us who are in denial, can often bridge the gap between reality and illusion.
