When new muscle is built, it is built tight a;nd you lose flexiblity. Keep building new muscle and you will tear one if you don't stretch it out.

It's good for the muscles if they're not used enough. It's like a mini-workout!

My teacher once told me that we stretch because we are trying to get the blood flowing through our bodies. To restore energy. Do not know how true that is.
