I live in Texas where it gets in the triple digits!!! What's the best way to travel with a cake so that the cake doesn't completely melt?

I'm not a cake decorator...but I watch the food network like a feind. LOL But from what I saw on the foodnetwork...this one lady traveled with hers in boxes with dry ice surrounding them and others had theirs in Large Coolers. Its not much...but I guess you can't knock it until you try it. I hope it helps a little. lol

I live in Florida so I understand. If I am able to I use a large cooler. I put the cake in my plastic cake storage and then put the whole thing into a large camping cooler. I then pack large blue cool (ice packs that dont get wet when they melt) around the cake. Otherwise, I set the cake on the front seat and aim all of the air vents at the cake.

Keep it in a cardboard box. Place it in a big enough cooler with dry ice.
