This sounds like a musculoskeletal type of pain. Somatic pain (scratches, sprains, breaks etc.)is usually pretty well located-you could point one finger at it. Visceral pain, internal organs, is usually diffuse, poorly localized and achy in character. If you can reproduce it by pressing on your thorax, it's unlikely to be internal organs and is more likely a chest wall type of thing.

Go and see your doctor as you should not have pain there. It maybe nothing to worry about but best to be on the safe side xx

More often as not it's a pulled muscle, particularly if you've become more active lately. Watch it for few days and if it doesn't begin to dissipate, see a doctor.
