I have T-Mobile prepaid and have for quite a long time. I think they are the best. MUCH better than Cingular, which allows no roaming on their new prepaid plans. And T-Mobile will let you purchase $100 worth of prepaid minutes which last for a year, whereas other providers force you to add minutes much more often.
And by the way, T-Mobile is GSM like Cingular. Cingular customer service sucks. T-Mobile is way better.

I have tried many...(Pre-paid.) I like Virgin Mobile. The basic $20.00 refill card lasts 90 days!! Not 30 or 60 like most carriers. There is also a one year plan for about $99.00.. The minutes are also cheaper than many plans, which fool you with hidden charges. It works almost anywhere, and no roaming charges. Good selection of voicemail messages by celebrities, ringtones, etc. Average call charge 18 cents. There are several call plans for pre-paid, depending how much you use it. (There are some plans that say 10 cents a minute...BUT, you are charged $1.00 a day when used, and it doesn't last for 90 days!) Your call.
