Certainly I cannot tell you how to live your life not evaluate for you. However, I would suggest that you clarify what you are asking. Your words assume a prior agreement of what you mean. For example: To be a "friend" without love makes no sense to me. To be "in love" but not love is inconsistent. For better understanding of the terms and perhaps how you best proceed, I would suggest that you read the sections of the different types of LOVE as found in Dianetics, The Modern Science of Mental Health. The author spent many years seardhing religions and philosophies and from what I have read,, comes up with very rational insights on life. Let me know what you find. Something can be done about it.
