I'm locked out of WinXP and can't remember, is there anyway to access a hint or re-do the password? IT's such a simple password like cookie or hotdog but I can't remember!

There might have been an administrator password created when XP was installed and you use administrator as the login name but you probably don't remember that one either. You can take your hard drive out of that system and make is a slave drive in another system and get your email, data and files that you need then put it back in your system and re-install windows but I really don't think there is a viable way to hack your way into windows.

Well do u hav ur own user account or r u using administrator? If u r not using administrator then u might be in luck. After u start ur computer and when the Windows XP welcome screen appears in windows XP press ctrl+Alt+Delete twice. Then type administrator in user name and the password(if u hav 1 for administrator). Then go to user accounts in control panel and reset your password for your user account. Hope this was helpful 2 u.

restart your computer and press F8 while the login screen is just appeared, then boot option menu will appear. Choose "safe mode" and start in safe mode, on the login screen, choose the user "ADMINISTRATOR". Then go to the control panel > user accounts. Change your pass word or delete your old account and create a new one. While deleting your old account, remember to save your file.(you can do it mannually by going to c:\ documents and settings\ your old user account name)

Try entering the username Administrator and either no password or admin

Then go into user accounts and delete your account then bring it back.

Well, if there was a way around it, the password wouldn't be very useful in the first place, right?
