For me, I know that if I turn the computer on before my homework is done, I'm a goner and will never finish it.
Right when I get home I sit on my bed (I like to be comfy), turn on some classical music (it's a nice background music, doesn't distract you with words, and helps you think) and get started. I take a 5 minute break every 30 minutes and go get a snack, like a vegetable, and something to drink, like water. This is the only way I can do homework.

Not having other distractions. Like for me, I have to have everything quite and no TV in my room or anything that distracts me. Some people need music, others need the TV on, it's just all about you. You should experiment with all of them but I suggest that you make a list of what relaxes you and keeps you calm, and try it while doing homework. Whatever it is that keeps you focused, you have to find out yourself.

1. Listen to music ( that helps me)
2. Watch tv in between
3. Go to a public place and do homework- like the mall

make sure that you are comfortable , and that there is adequate lighting on ur desk / table.
Also , a bit of music will sometimes help .
Dont forget to take breaks as well , work for 20 mins, have a 5 min break.

well i listen to soothing Hawaiian music while doing homework because it relaxes me, but don't do homework after eating dinner because i will make you sleepy,
