I know you either have or have had a bf that was OBSESSED with video games. Mine LOVES his xbox360 and plays it constantly. i dont really care if he plays it while im around im glad he plays it cuz he spent a helluva lotta money on it. but when im over and he plays it for hours and i jus sit there i get bored. what r some things u did while ur bf was gaming????

he doesnt neglect me lol so im not like depressed or anything and its not everytime im there that he plays. he only plays Oblivion (the game after Morowind or whatever) for a looooooooong time cuz its a loooooooooooong game lol im jus lookin for suggestions so i can keep him from being TOO absorbed you know?

I like the idea of getting him to buy some games that you can play too. But what I always find fun is to find a one player game (I havent play that particular game your bf is attatched to) and switch off playing, or help out while he is playing. Prince of Persia is an awesome game for that because of all the obnoxious puzzles. Though, I am in a minority here because I tell my boyfriend to play video games or else I'M the one playing all night. Teehee.
If that doesn't work grab a book/magazine/hw or even something you do as hobby to do while he is playing. Drawing is always fun. But seriously, if he plays THAT much you really need to tell him that ya know he can play when your not around so that you two can actually spend time together doing something TOGETHER!

Either suggest getting games you both can play or don't visit until he has time to spend with you. Would he sit there while you are doing something you are interested in but he can not participate in doing?

Looked for another bf. Those games should not take priority over you. Unless the guy is 13 years old, then it would make sense.

Tell him to get games you can join in on! I love video games, and I am a girl. I wouldn't mind having a boyfriend who plays them, because I would just watch and be entertained. :D

ask him if he wants to go get an ice cream or something or tell him that you could "so beat him at a game of ____" you choose a game and maybe he'll take your challenge. if he doesnt want to do anything then just say youre going somewhere to do something and you will talk to him later. you dont HAVE to sit there.

Actually I've never had that problem. I think I'd get really irritated if I had a boyfriend that was ignoring me for a game though. I'd probably tell him to do it when I wasn't there.

***** at him to stop gaming. ;) Just kidding. Let him know that you're glad he enjoys his XBOX but tell him that when you're over you look forward to spending quality time with him. My BF used to play ALL the time and just by letting him know I would rather play with him than watch him play with his XBOX he stopped! ;)

Honestly My girl never had to compete with my PS2. She knew how to get my attention when she wanted it. Show him he can have that game without a girl or with a girl. You just gotta be creative, but you shouldn't have to compete.

o god dont remind me. my ex-bf wuz married to his xbox.
and when he does it i jus sit there and watch. and sometimes he lets me sit in his lap and he kisses me while he's playing and stuff like that.
