Of course they do. They have a legitimate claim to the land occupied by Israel. Of course, many folks also believe Israel has a legitimate claim. Hence, the fighting. People have been fighting over land since the beginning of humanity. Most lands have been conquered at one time or another, so most claims to land are arbitrary anyway. It's not like God or nature designated each person his own plot of land to which he or she has the unequivocal natural right. It would probably be easier to settle disputes if that were the case, but it's not. So since both groups have historical and religious ties to the same land, they battle over it.

I do think, however, that the United States is unequivocably wrong to support Israel's claim to the land. We facilitated the Israeli takeover of Palestine after World War II for no appreciably good reason. "Good will to Jewish people because of the Holocaust" is no reason to displace people. It's just as racist to favor the Jews as it is to try to exterminate them. The United States has made and continues make a huge mistake in supporting Israel. We helped create this mess by putting Israel there, and we never should have done that. And even though we helped start the problem, it's STILL in our best interests to just get the heck out of the way and let them fight it out, then establish diplomatic relations with the winner. We can't worry about Israel at the expense of worrying about ourselves. Hopefully, our next President will distance himself from taking sides in the Middle East conflict. Then, maybe less folks will want to blow up our buildings.

Of course they have the right to fight the occupation. Wouldn't you if someone took your land and killed your families? To those who continue to say there is "no Palestine". Here is a bit of education for the ignorant.

"The Palestinians exist, and have always existed. Those whom we call Palestinians are not merely the descendants of the Muslim Arab conquerors of the seventh century, but the cumulative stock that included all of the races that had entered and settled in Palestine since the dawn of history. They proceeded both Jew and Muslim Arab, in addition to incorporating them."

Actually, the land belongs to Israel, as they captured it during war (much like we captured New Mexico, Texas, Arizona, etc from Mexico during war, so it now belongs to us). This means that the Palestinians are the occupiers (trespassers would be a better word). Don't you just hate it when the truth gets in the way of your opinions?

if it is legally occupation, then yes. but as there is no "Palestine" there is no occupation, only what are called "disputed" territories.
you should read up on things before you ask silly questions.
