Not meaning to be all religious on you but I think the big question is which belief system is correct. This doesn't answer all of the big science questions but I think that it impacts most of the worlds population. If the athiests are correct then morals are just nice rules for learning about how to get along and have no everlasting consequence, so do whatever it takes to get ahead in this life because there is no life after to worry about. If the Muslims are correct then we are stupid for fighting against them. If some Christians are correct and there is a God who will judge us and assign our eternal station based upon what we have done in this life then I think we would start to look at our actions a little closer.

I see that everyone is answering "why?" I would have to anwer with why did you ask that question. wouldnt that answer that one? The one question that I would really want to know is Why do people believe in "god" and why do people read from a book said to be written about what god wants? I guess my real question would be- who has met god and actually has a leginament reason to believe besides "everyone else does, why not" and from what people see in churches?

it's the 'mystery of existence'..
who we are.. why we are here.. what is the purpose of our life..
though seems religion provide the answer... the mystery is still there.. that's why we have much controvercies.. differents perspectives from religions..
have you ever wonder ? our life today.. the busy people.. working people.. 8 hours a day.. 5 days a week..
in the past, it isn't like that... everything is 'free'.. but since we are in 'stagnation' of the existence mystery.. we create our own system.. which nowadays we live in.. world of materialism..
down deep inside.. the mystery is still exists.. and will always exist as long as life exist..

If the universe is expanding, and yet it is infinite, what is it expanding into? Is there something outside of the universe? If so, what?
