We (USA) should have turned the entire region into a big glass parking lot a long time ago. (sand melts and turns into glass)
Also, it wouldn't hurt if we would completely de-value oil by allowing development of a non-combustion type of propulsion, such as hydro-magneto, or anti-gravity or anything. If oil wasn't making some people such huge $$$, we could have already had the little private jet-air-cars like in the Jetsons. They squash development efforts, and I think this is the real issue. Eliminate the need for oil, then they'll quit squawking so much; they'll be too busy trying to figure out how to survive in the desert.

I think they do but israel needs to be taken out too, they are no less terrorist than both iran and hezbollah
