Great in the beginning of the season. Was hitting them out of the park before. Any ideas.

He reverted to his norm, that's all.

Shelton had a hot start, but I think everyone knew he wasn't going to keep up anything approaching that pace. Many experts (BP, for one) placed him somewhere in the middle, as a moderate home run hitter with a decent average.

Even with his slowdown, the Tigers still have to be pleased with having found this guy in the Rule V draft.

No one seems to know. They have been working on his swing, his stance, his grip, everything.

But, it's okay because there are others around to pick up the slack.

PLus, Shelton is a good denfensive 1st baseman.

However, he did get the job done to day with a 2 out RBI Double to win the game for Detroit!

Yeah, nobody in the league could keep up such a pace. Shelton just fizzled down. He'll pick it back up a little more I feel very soon. He needs to start cranking them out again.....

He was overachieving at the start of the season, and now he's hitting within his abilities. Sometimes guys just get hot for no real reason.
